LONDON, Sept 28. The mystery of what is going to happen to Charlie Chaplin’s Russian caviar was solved today, the Associated Press reported. “We’re going to eat it,” said the actor’s London publisher, Max Reinhardt. The caviar was a surprise payment to Mr Chaplin for the use of 1000 words of Chaplin’s autobiography by a Soviet newspaper. It was sent to Chaplin’s London hotel addressed to him by Alexei Adzhubei, editor of the Soviet newspaper “Izvestia.” The iced caviar arrived a week ago. It went into the hotel's refrigerators. “It’s a bit of a mystery,” said a hotel spokesman. “We don’t know what Mr Chaplin plans to do with it” Mr Chaplin's publisher solved the riddle, saying: “Pm giving a dinner for Charlie on Wed-
nesday night, and I can assure you there won’t be any mystery about it after that dinner. Charlie has told us he wants us to use it” There is nearly nine pounds of caviar. “It will be a small dinner," said Mr Reinhardt “so everyone should have plenty."
