50 Dogs Entered In Obedience Trials
Fifty dogs were entered In 69 events at the Canterbury Canine Obedience Club's open obedience ribbon trials at Spreydon on Saturday. The judges were Miss S. Savage (juniors), Messrs A. Reid (special beginners and novice), A. Krause (test A.), E. Schofield (test B), and F. Campbell (test C). Results were as follows:
Juniors (maximum points 55). —Miss P. Boyle’s collie, Butch, 51i points, 1; Miss E. Donovan’s Dalmation, Cass, 51, 2; Miss R. Banks’s corgi, Anne, 50, 3.
Special Beginners (maximum points ’.'s). —J. Baird's collie. Spot, 74i points, 1; A. West’s Great Dane, Sandy, 74, 2; Mrs K. Churehard’s cocker spaniel. Cheta, 74, 3. Novice (maximum points 100).—A. West’s Great Dane, Sandy, 99 points, 1; Mrs L. Rountree’s pug, Sake, 98), 2; J. Baird’s collie cross, Spot, 98. 3. Test A (maximum points 145).—W. A. Stephenson's German shepherd, Ivan, 141 J, 1; A. West’s Great Dane, Sandy, 1414, 2; Miss Susan Savage’s bassett hound. Tubby, 1411, 3. Test B (maximum points 225).—Mrs D. C. Miller’s Irish water spaniel, Irirangi Annaha. 200, 1; Mrs Susan Pears’s German shepherd, Katinka- of Saarbuchen, 195, 2; Mrs M. T.
