WOOLSTON BATHS
£620 Collected On Saturday Woolston residents on Saturday showed their enthusiasm for the restoration of the Woolston baths by contributing £620 in a house-to-house appeal. Sixty collectors covered the district, collecting envelopes which had been sent to 4000 householders. The Woolston Baths Re-i storation Committee is now hoping for assistance by way of a loan from the City Council’s sports fund pool, as had been promised a year ago. A committee spokesman thanked all those who assisted in the appeal.
