COOK IS. TALKS
Delegation Returning (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 28. The four-man delegation from the Cook. Islands Legislative Assembly, which has been in Wellington for talks on the Cook Islands constitution, wound up its visit at a Parliamentary reception this evening. The delegation has been making representations to the Parliamentary Select Committee on New- Zealand’s island territories, which is considering the Cook Islands Constitution Bill and the Cook Islands Amendment Bill. Both bills provide for internal self-government in the Cook Islands group—in close association with New Zealand.
The delegation, Mr D. C. Brown (leader of Government Business in the Legislative Assembly), Mr Makea Nui Ariki, Mr David Hosking and Mr Vaine Rere, leaves for Rarotonga tomorrow.
