Second Half Recovery
(N.Z. Press Association) PAEROA, Sept. 22. After trailing by 11 points to three at half-time, Thames Valley staged a grand recovery to defeat Waikato, 21-14, in a representative Rugby match at Paeroa today. Thames Valley was slow to get under way in the first spell, but the forwards, well led by R. C. Holden and F. T. Richards, carried the side to victory. For Thames Valley, R. J. Wells, W. C. Walsh and J. B. Darrah scored tries, while T. E. Shaw kicked four penalty goals. Waikato’s points came from tries by R. Walker and W. Marshall, and A. Bell kicked two penalty goals and a conversion.
