Volunteers on Saturday will start on the conversion of a building in Garlands road, Hornby, which has been acquired by the Canterbury Museum of Science and Industry.

The chairman (Mr M. A. Connelly, M.P.) said it would be only a pilot scheme to indicate the potential of a full-scale museum. He hoped that ways and means of establishing a much bigger museum on the site would be studied in the new year.
