COMMITTED FOR TRIAL
(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, Sept 10. A 21-year-old farm worker, Mervyn Bernard Thomas, was committed for trial by a Supreme Court by Mr W. M. Willis, S.M., today. He was charged with armed robbery. Thomas pleaded not guilty. The hearing was a sequel to the theft of about £360, im eluding 16 cheques, from the Colac Bay Hotel on the night of July 19.
