Basketball SIX TEAMS PLAY-OFF
(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, September 10 The six section winners In the South Island secondary schoolgirls' basketball tournament will play-off tomorrow at Dunedin. They are: Nelson Girls' College, Rangiora High School, Southland Girls' High School, St. Margaret’s College. Christchurch, Otago Girls' High School A, and Westport Technical College. Today’s results were:— Section I.—Queen's High 18, Villa Maria 16; Nelson 37, Waitakl 5: South Otago 29, Cashmere 7; South Otago 29, St. Dominic's 5: Villa Maria 32. Senior Citizen’s Fair.—This afternoon the Christchurch Senior Citizens’ Association will be holding its annual fair at its house at 27 Worcester street. The fair will open at one o’clock, and there will be stalls selling “white elephants,” vegetables, cakes, furnishings, sewing and a variety of other goods.
