(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, September 9. The New South Wales Government will introduce legislation to stop the sale of contraceptives by vending machines, the Cabinet has decided. Ministers had discussed a plan by a Sydney businessman, Mr Anthony Eustace, to instal the machines in hotels, clubs and, possibly, on railway stations. The Cabinet has decided the sale of contraceptives by vending machines is against the public interest. The Minister of Labour and Industry, Mr J. J. Maloney, reported there was some doubt whether the Factories, Shops and Industries Act was wide enough to prohibit the installation of contraceptive vending machines.
