NEW PLYMOUTH, September 9. The prop forward, L. H. MacDonald, will play for Taranaki against Waikato in the Ranfurly Shield challenge match at Rugby Park, New Plymouth, on Saturday. It will be the ninetyninth time that MacDonald has played for Taranaki since 1956. He had previously represented Thames Valley for two.
seasons, playing in 22 representative matches. The Taranaki selectors made the decision to play MacDonald and relegate M. C. Wills to the reserves before a team practice at New Plymouth today. MacDonald will play in the front row, P. V. Mac moves from prop to lock, T. D. Jenkins goes from lock to back row and G. D. Bayes moves from back row to the side.
