Dioceses Give £105,719 A total of £105,719—a record—was received by the New Zealand Anglican Bottrd of Missions in the year ended June 30, This was almost £lO,OOO more than promised, says “Church and People.” The Christchurch diocese promised a minimum of £22,000 and gave £24,524, an increase of £1073 over the total for 1962-63. Other gifts for special purposes amounted to £7207. Totals from other dioceses, with the minimum promised and increase over 1962-63 in parenthesis, were: Auckland £17,408 (£16,500, £862); Dunedin, £8837 (£7750, £451); Nelson, £7526 (£7700, £453); Waiapu, £10.520 (£BOOO, £397); Waikato, £10,728 (£9OOO. £779); Wellington. £26,144 £25,000, £1078). Gifts from outside the dioceses were £32, an increase of £6. Dioceses have promised' a minimum of £97.500 for the present year, and as it is assumed that they budget conservatively, the board has allocated £109,000. Of this, £97,370 is to go to the coordinated missions in these amounts: Melanesia. £40,000; New Zealand Church Mission Society, £40,000; Polynesia. £14.000: Jerusalem and the East, £1100; Mission to Chinese in New Zealand, £670: Society for the Propagation of the Gospel, £lOO. Other missions will receive £llO4, and £10,310 is to pay home expenses, publicity and other items.
