Cargo Cruises
Cruising by cargo ship is now so popular in Britain that two-year waiting lists exist for some routes. A waiting list of 18 months is normal on routes to .Scandinavia, Spain and Portugal. One London firm deals with between 70 and 100 inquiries a day. Passenger accommodation is fully booked for next year in cargo vessels from Britain to several countries which can be reached during a normal-length holiday. Bookings also have to be made months in advance for the longer winter trips.—London, September 8.
