CANBERRA CONTRACT
Extensions To Parliament (N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) CANBERRA, Sept. 8. The Federal Government has let a £236,972 contract for extensions to the Federal Parliament house, the Minister for the Interior (Mr J. C. Anthony) said yesterday. The extensions are due to be completed by June 30 next year. Mr Anthony said the extensions were to take the form of a three-storey wing to the south-eastern corner of the existing building. The additional accommodation to be made available included 10 ministerial suites, 25 single and five double rooms for private members and two large committee rooms.
