(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter-—Copyright) PARIS, September 8. Michel Jazy, the European 1500 metres champion, has been selected to run for France in this event and the 5000 metres at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. At the 1960 Rome Games Jazy ran only in the 1500 metres, finishing second to H. G. Elliott in the final. Jean Wadoux and Michel Bernard were also named for the 1500 metres, the race for which P. G. Snell, of New Zealand, is favourite. The French Athletics Federation and the French Olympic Committee announced the names of 36 athletes—3o men and six women—to compete in 19 events at the games.
