Extra Melons
The Matua, which arrived in Auckland on Sunday from Suva, brought 6200 watermelons—an unusually large number for this time of the year. After the recent floods in Fiji growers there had been advised by the Government to grow early maturing crops to recover the losses. The Matua also brought 20,300 cases of bananas.—(PA.)
