GOVT. LOAN
Sept. 21 To Oct. 9 (N Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, September 8. A Government cash loan of £12.5 million was today announced by the acting Minister of Finance (Mr Seath). The loan will open on September 21 and close on October 9. The terms of the offer, all at par and with a minimum subscription ■ of £5O, are: 20-year Stock .. 5 p.c. 6-year Stock .. 4} p.c. 3-year Stock .. 4| p.c. These terms are the same as for the last loan in June except that the interest rate for three-year stock has been raised by { per cent and the previous minimum subscription of £lO,OOO for this stock has been eliminated. These variations are of a technical nature and the interest rate for long-term Government stock remains unchanged.
