NEW ELECTRIC TYPEWRITER
Demonstration In. Christchurch
A new electric typewriter without type bars and carriage movement was demonstrated at a luncheon yesterday. The machine was unveiled by the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr G. Manning), who said he was interested in any development which advanced the economy of New Zealand. He was interested in the firm because of its gift of a computer to the University of Canterbury. The university council, of which he was a meihber, appreciated that gift. He had been told that the typewriter was the result of 15 years of research and he congratulated the firm on its production.
