AUSTRALIAN SUCCESSES
Part In N.Z. Trade Fair (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept 7. More trade across the Tasman and better understanding of the common objectives of Australia and New Zealand resulted from the Australian participation in the International Trade Fair in Wellington, a spokesman said today. As the fair ended last Saturday, businessmen in the Australian pavilion were processing business totalling about £lOO,OOO. Hundreds of inquiries for all sorts of products pointed strongly to much more future business. As a direct result of their showing at the fair, a Tasmanian company which manufactures packaging machinery is joining with New Zealand interests in the setting up of a factory in Auckland. Mr G. A. Wotton, of Australian Export Promotions Pty., Ltd., the project manager in charge of the pavilion, expressed full satisfaction with its success.
