Irregular Start To Week’s Trading
Trading on New Zealand Stock exchanges opened the week on an irregular note with New Zealand issues showing rises ahead of falls, while the market for overseas stocks was weak.
Southland Frozen Meat continued to rise, adding another 6d to a peak 30s. New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative gained 4d to 10s 5d and N.Z. Forest Products rose Id in ex dividend sales at 50s 9d.
Colonial Sugar made the only advance in the overseas list with a Is 3d rise to 65s 9d in Auckland sales.
