Boycott By Negroes
(N Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) CANTON (Mississippi), Sept. 7. A bomb destroyed a grocery store serving the Negro community in Canton early yesterday and authorities discovered two unexploded bombs in another Negro store across the street. A dynamite blast tore through a store shortly before 4 a.m. leaving only two walls standing. The demolished store was white-owned but its patrons were mostly Negroes. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating the incident. Civil rights officials say the boycott by Negroes of the white business community is about 85 per cent effective and has angered white businessmen.
