EXCHANGE OF TROOPS

240 From N.Z., Australia (N.Z. P.ress Association) AUCKLAND, Sept. 7. An air lift of 240 New Zealand and Australian troops for exercise Tasman II will begin on Thursday. The two countries will exchange troops for combined exercises lasting a month. On Thursday morning 35 New Zealand Regular Force men will leave Whenuapai at 9.30 by Hastings aircraft for Richmond, Australia. Half an hour later 85 Australian artillerymen will land at Whenuapai in a Cl Hercules. On Friday morning a further 85 New Zealanders will fly to Australia and at 10 a.m. a further group of Australians will land here. The Australians will remain until October 20, being deployed during that time on exercises with the 16th Field Regiment at Papakura. , Next month 20 New Zealand Territorials will go to Australia on a similar exchange. i
