Work in this field sponsored by the Council is concerned with fats and trace minerals in nutrition. At present, two senior research officers, and one junior officer with technical staff are engaged in this work. The laboratories are adequately equipped to carry out biological experiments with laboratory animals and to do analytical procedures. It is with the fats in nutrition aspect that the vacancy has occurred. An M.Sc. graduate in chemistry or biochemistry is sought although consideration will be given to B.Sc. or B.H.Sc. graduates. The initial grading attaching to the post is Sicentific Research Officer II and the commencing salary will be within the range: £9BO-£lloo. Superannuation is available.
