An internationally-known poet and author, Mr Christopher Grieve, aged 72, will stand as a Communist Party candidate in the British General Election, the party announced today. He will oppose the Prime Minister, Sir Alec DouglasHome, in the constituency of Kinross, Perthshire. Mr Grieve writes under the pen name of Hugh McDiarmid.
