The two outstanding Southland pacers, Robin Dundee and Tactile, which fractured f>edal bones while campaignng in Australia in February are now making good recoveries. Further X-rays were taken of the injuries this week, and an Invercargill veterinary surgeon, Mr C. H, G, Irvine, who has been treating the horses said tonight that both have "excellent chances of making complete recoveries Robin Dundee's future was in doubt when X-rays taken two. and a-hglf months ago shewed that the crack had widened, but Mr Irvine said latest results were "very promising." Robin Dundee, which is trained at Gore by J. Walsh, and Tactile, which is with its part-owner, D. P. Dynes, at Wyndham, will now be given light jogging tasks.
