Women Police Ignored
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) COLOGNE. Policewomen were recently recruited to deal with traffic in Frankfurt, but had to be dismissed within a week because motorists treated them so badly. One heavy lorry driver, confronted with a uniformed policewoman, slapped her across the face, called her a “stupid goose,” told her to go back to the kitchen sink, and drove on ignoring her order to stop. Other women police resigned, saying that they could no longer stand the abuse, and the whole scheme was abandoned.
