Taxi Service
Sir,—There is usually a taxi—sometimes two or three —on the taxi-rank at the Clyde-Ilam roads shopping centre, and conveniently close to the bus stop, which is not the cosiest spot in all Christchurch to hang about for a bus on a winter day. Many a local resident must have been grateful for these taxis, and there are probably other, and equally populous, suburban centres—e.g., the top of Papanui road, by the Post Office—where a similar service might be appreciated.— Yours, etc., ILAM.
