Qantas To Fly 19 707 s Qantas will buy an additional three Boeing 707/338C aircraft at a cost of <9.8 million. These will bring the Qantas Boeing fleet to 19 by the end of 1966. The 338 C is the Qantas version of the 320 C, longer and heavier than the present 1388 with identical passenger accommodation, but capacity for substantially greater weight ■nd volume for air eargo. They also have a longer range than the present jets. Qantas now operates 12 1388 aircraft and will take delivery of the thirteenth this month. One of the three additional aircraft will be delivered in October, 1965, and the other two in 1966. The 19 Boeings will have a capacity equivalent to S 3 Super Constellations. They represent an investment of £56 million.
