Linen Look In Fashion The linen look in a sacklike Weave is top fashion everywhere in the world this season and it looks as if it will carry on into the next summer, said a director of Stevenson and Sons, makers of moygasfael (Mr Alick Knight) from Dungannon, Northern Ireland, in Christchurch yesterday. He is in New Zealand for three weeks to sell moygashel fpr the 1964-65 season. The materials, both pure linen and synthetic fabrics which look like linen, are in all shades ineluding the vivid reds, pinks, blues, mauves, and lemons popular this season. There are also coloured prints in synthetic fibres introducing mixtures of vibrant colours, such as combinations or orange, pink, and purple, giving a continental look. Many of these prints have some form of paisley design in them. The pure linen fibre is a wonderful fabric for warmer climates, it is very cool' to wear, said Mr Knight. “The natural fibres do crush to some extent but we make a number of cloths in linen treated to help their recovery” he said. “All synthetics are absolutely crease resistant.”

Old Persons Entertained.— The Mothers’ Union branch at St Mary’s Anglican Church, Halswell, was host in the parish hail yesterday to residents of Churchill Courts. Items were contributed by various city eotestatauneot groups.
