COAD, Commissioner of Crown Lands. 7004 ■LICTRIC rOWIR BOARD THE present power situation is very grave, and to minimise any danger of early compulsory shutdowns of power, which would be very disruptive to all sections of the community, an earnest request Is made for continuing voluntary savings. In addition to the following restrictions are In force as from today:— 1. All electric radiators, domestic and commercial, to be only used in cases of absolute necessity. 2. Waterheaters to be switched off where consumers have alternative means of heating water. 3. Electric advertising signs are to be disconnected. 4. Shop' window and yard lighting to be allowed on Friday night only. 5. Industries are requested to reduce consumption of electricity wherever practicable. If volnutary savings do not achive the desired result, compulsory curtailment of storage waterheating will be necessary. R. J.
