'We Love You Ringo'
(From Our Own Reporter)
WELLINGTON, Sept. 1. Juries with women on them were fraught with danger, said Mr P. Blanchfield (Opp., Westland) in the House of Representatives tonight. Girls, on the verge of 21, screamed at the Beatles, he said. They could be the victims of mass emotionalism. Should an age limit be
set for women jurors? he asked the Minister of Justice (Mr Hanan) during the discussion of the Justice Department estimates.
He evoked no comment from Mr Hanan when he asked for his opinion on a jury containing ’ women sitting on a case “of someone charged with assaulting Ringo.”
