Failure Of Parley
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) GENEVA, Sept 1. British, American and Turkish representatives to the dead-locked Cyprus negotiations in Geneva are leaving today or tomorrow and “the talks are finished,” officials said. The announcement last week by Cyprus and Greece that they wanted to hand the subject to the United Nations General Assembly, together with the failure of U Thant, the U.N. Secretary-General, to find a successor to Mr Sakari Tumioja, the sick mediator, are seen as having sounded the death knell of the conference.
