NEW COAST INDUSTRY
Another Plan Discussed (N.Z. Press Association) GREYMOUTH, September 1. The Greymouth district may have yet another new timber industry, worth a capital outlay of £70,000, within a year. Depending on the Government granting the interested parties long-term bush-cut-ting rights, a group of West Coast sawmillers and a Canterbury wood-processor will establish a plant in the province, with Paroa a” the most likely site for it. The venture will cause the Canterbury man to close his existing factory and transfer it to here for incorporation in the new project. If it comes into being, the business will be at least 80 per cent owned and controlled by West Coasters. These points were made today on behalf of the group, by Mr E. E. Mosley, a representative of a Greymouth milling firm.
