COMMERCIAL Firm Tone To Start Of Week’s Trading
New Zealand issues traded strongly and overseas shares recovered ground to give a firm start to the week yesterday. Leaders, however, were barely in balance. Southland Frozen Meat added a further 3d to a peak 29s 6d and N.Z. Forest Products rose 6d to a new peak of 51s 6d. Colonial Sugar again lost ground, shedding Is to 65s 6d in sales in Auckland and Wellington.
