COUNTER TO AGGRESSION
Study Urged Of Non-Violence The apathy of Christians and non-Christians to the study of non-military means of resisting aggression and political tyranny is disheartening, according to a report of the international affairs committee of the Methodist Church adopted by the North Canterbury Methodist synod. Although experts in various fields see a need for basic research, assistance for this is not forthcoming, says the report.
“The field of study is wide; the problems are complex; the opposition by power groups is unyielding. “Consideration of the work and ideas of pioneers in this field offers alternatives to warfare which make profound sense in the nuclear age.”
