(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, August 27. South Island defeated North Island for the first time in several years in the New Zealand women’s B grade indoor basketball tournament at Dunedin tonight. The score was 36-35. Results of other matches were:—Otago 64, Mid-Canter-bury 32; Eastern Southland 27, Southern Canterbury 27; Horowhenua 39, Nelson 27; Marlborough 57, Southland 29; Rotorua 37, Palmerston North 17; Canterbury 39. South Canterbury 22; Hamilton 47, Horowhenua 27; Eastern Southland 28, Wellington 22; Rotorua 40. Nelson 39.
