EDUCATION HOUSE
Contract Let For Building (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 27. A contract was signed last night for the construction of Education House, a £300,000 seven-storey building in upper Willis street, which will be the permanent headquarters for the Education Institute, the primary school teachers’ organisation. The project is in the hands of Education House. Ltd., a private company set up by the institute, which owns all the The chairman of directors is Mr W. R. Familton, of Auckland, former president of the institute, and the secretary is Mr G. R. Ashbridge, secretary of the institute. Work is expected to begin next month and the building is scheduled to be completed 18 months after the foundations are finished.
