Faster Express Service Plan
(N Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 26. Faster express train services between Auckland and Wellington from February 5 were announced today by the general manager of railways. Mr T. Gandell. The present 3.40 p.m. expresses, from both Auckland and Wellington, will leave at 4.30 pjn. and reach their destinations about 6.55 a.m.— about the same time as at present The present 6 p.m.- Sunday Auckland-Wellington express will leave Auckland at 6.15 p.m.
Micronesia Aid.— President Johnson signed a bill today designed to increase-economic and social development of the Micronesian Islands where the United States has trusteeship responsibility under the United Nations.—Washington, August 25.
