LONDON, August 26. One of London’s leading J hotels is Supplying pocket radio alarms to guests who are waiting for a long-distance telephone call. It is similar to the “beepers” carried by executives in factories, enabling them to keep in touch with their offices. The hotel guests may now lodge a telephone call and wander away to the dining room, lounge, or bar confident that they will be "beeped” when the connexion has been made.
