Lakes Fall By 2½m. Units
Although there was a reduced demand for electricity during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday, the water in the lakes ell by 2,500,000 Units, leaving 111,420,000 units in storage. The district engineer of the New Zealand Electricity Department (Mr R. S. S. Meredith) said there had been no rain in the catchment area.
