NEW FLIGHT OPPOSED
4 Objections Lodged
(.From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, August 26. Four objections to the South Pacific Airlines of New Zealand application for permission to run a DC6 aircraft on the Auckland-Wellington-Christchurch route have been lodged with the Air Services Licensing Authority. The objectors are the National Airways Corporation, the Railways Department, the Auckland branch of the Engineers, Coachbuilding and Related Trades Union and the Auckland Clerical and Office Staff Employees’ Union. The time for objections closed yesterday, but the secretary of the authority (Mr J. F. Heatley) said any objections or letters in support of the application posted before yesterday would be received.
Mr Heatley said there had so- far been one letter of support—from Mr A. N. McAnnen, of Timaru. Hearing of the application ' will begin next Monday.
