MELBOURNE Most leaders lost ground in yesterday’s easier market on the Melbourne Stock Exchange. Dunlop however moved sharply against the trend with a gain of 2s 6d to 58s 9d. Drug Houses was a heavy loser, dropping 4s 3d to 41s 9d after sales at 40s reflected a greatly reduced profit figure. Tom Piper featured with a jump of 3s fid to 41s on news of a record profit and dividend up 5 per cent to 171. Some oils gained but base metals continued to ease. Loans were steady.
