“Significant Role”
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 25. A tribute to the “significant role” Mr A. Briscoe Moqre had played in the destiny of the wool industry was made by the chairman of the Wool Board (Mr J. Acland) at the annual meeting of the electoral college today. Mr Moore, who has been a member of the board for Northland since its inception in 1944, is not seeking reelection.
Mr Acland told the college that Mr* Moore had spent a life time in fanning affair* of the country, had helped launch the floor price scheme, had been a member, of the Wool Commission for five years and an original member of the economic service. He had also played an active part in the formation of the wool research organisation.
