WAGE RISE GRANTED
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Aug. 25. The Waitemata Electric Power Board will grant a 6 per cent wage increase to all employees of the board, whether they are on a minimum award rate or not, it decided today after the Arbitration Court decision. The increase will be limited to a maximum salary of £l5OO a year. The cost of applying the Court order was said to be about £12,000 for the balance of this financial year.
