BOY FOUND SHOT

HAMILTON, Aug. 4. A 16-year-old boy died from gunshot wounds in a house at Raukokore, east of Opotiki, about nine o’clock last night He was Wally Kiwiara, of Raukokore. Chief-Inspector A. Moore, of the Gisborne police, said the boy had apparently taken a .303 rifle from a wardrobe in the house and he died as a result of a shot fired from the rifle. He said there was no evidence to suggest that the death was anything else but accidental. The Opotiki police are investigating the shooting.
