DUNEDIN, July 21. A hint of how he contemplated the thought of Senator Goldwater becoming president of the United States was given by the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Nordmeyer) tonight
“I have very strong view* about Senator
Goldwater,” Mr Nordmeyer said, “but the decision of whether he should become President is solely one for the American people themselves.
“1 have great faith in the common sense of the American voter.”
