TO STUDY IN FRANCE

Prevr” SperevJ Serrire AUCKLAND. July 21Mr Trevor Fennell, who is at present lecturing at toe University of Canterbury, and two Auckland wemen students. Miss Justine Waiter and M sss Lyn Wliliamsoß. are the 19<M winners of French Goverament scholarships to study in France. Misses Waiter and WiHjao ton will be leaving for France shortly. Miss Walter, formerly of Taraaak:. who graduated M A with first-ciass honours in French two years ago. and is at present teaching at Mt. Koskill Grammar Sdx-ooL will study for eight months at Lille Universty. While to France she plans to meet again a French family with whan she stayed during a visit to New Caledonia, on a school exchange system. She eventually hopes to work as an interpreter. Miss W'-amton. a former pupa of Ctahuhu College and a masters graduate with first-class honours to French, is relieving at Tauranga Giris’ College far a terra, where she is teaching French, German and English. She is to go to Besane-to University, which specialises in linguisaes and is the only university in the world that trains language laboratory instructors.
