FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation. —A deep, slow-moving depression is centred just west of Fiordland. Another depression is centred north-west of the Chatham Islands. Forecast: Canterbury and the Kaikoura CoasL—Moderate northerly winds; variable skies; showers, mainly in the alps; cool temperatures. Buller and Westland. —Moderate northerly winds; changeable and cool. Marlborough.—Fresh north-westerlies, occasionally strong in exposed places; variable' skies, with some showers; temperatures moderate. Nelson.—Fresh westerlies outside Tasman Bay, otherwise moderate, variable winds: partly cloudy, with moderate temperatures; isolated showers. Outlook.—All districts: changeable.
