Protection For Cyclists

Sir,—l congratulate the wise cyclist, who appeared to be middle-aged, seen in Lincoln road on Friday night with white cloths hanging from both coat pockets and a white scarf wound round his throat with the ends hanging down his back, thereby making him clearly visible on a smoggy night. Surely a few more cyclists would do well to follow this gentleman’s example. —Yours, etc., MOTORIST’S WIFE. July 21, 1964.
