NOTIFIABLE DISEASES

Man Dies From Tuberculosis

A 39-year-old man died of tuberculosis in the Coronation Hospital last week, after a long illness, says the weekly notifiable disease report of the Health Department.

Two cases of infective hepatitis were reported in Christchurch city during the week, in young adults—one of each sex.

One case of an occupational disease was reported, an industrial dermatitis in a male. The health inspector’s report on the case had not been received by the department when the disease report was issued.
