GOLDWATER ATTACKED
Antagonism Of Clergyman (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, July 20. Canon L. J. Collins, preaching at St. Paul’s Cathedral yesterday, called on church leaders to condemn the policies of Senator Goldwater.
“Let us as disciples of Christ,” he said, “ask that the Pope, the Archbishop of Canterbury, the leaders of the free churches, and all who speak in the name of the Christian churches, de-, clare at once,- before it is too late, and declare in quite open and certain terms, that the policies upon which Senator Goldwater proposes to stand for President are utterly repugnant to Christian consciences,” he said.
